This position is located at the Clinic/Urgent Care at Po'ipu department of Kaua'i Region Clinics of Hawai'i Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) Kaua'i Region.
Kaua'i Veterans Memorial Hospital (KVMH), Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital (SMMH), and The Kaua'i Region Clinics, which consists of The Clinic at Waimea, The Clinic at Port Allen, The Clinic at Kalaheo, The Specialty Clinic at Kalaheo, The Clinic/Urgent Care at Po'ipu, and The Clinic at Kapa'a, are all part of a public benefit corporation of the State of Hawai'i.
As a working supervisor, the Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) IV serves as an assistant to the nurse manager in providing nursing care and treatment services for the Clinic/Urgent Care at Po'ipu and supervises and participates in managing the daily operations of the facility; assists with supervisory responsibilities over all shifts for the clinic and may work on rotating shifts, with work on weekends and holidays; and performs other related duties as required.
The incumbent of this position may travel to and from other facilities within the region based on operational needs.
The RPN IV reports directly to the Regional Chief Quality and Compliance Officer, position no.
109565 or its designee.

In addition, qualifying work experiences are credited based on a 40-hour workweek.
All applicants are required to provide evidence of all applicable education, licenses, and certifications.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Graduation from a nursing program with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is highly desirable.
Licensure:
Valid, active license to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Hawai'i.
Applicants must submit evidence of current Hawai'i RN licensure (a copy of a valid license).
General
Experience:
One and one-half (1-1/2) years of professional nursing work experience.
Supervisory Aptitude:
Applicants must be able to demonstrate aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through successful completion of regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects; by serving as a group or team leader; previous work experience in a position that demonstrates or performs supervisory functions or in similar work in which opportunities for demonstrating supervisory or administrative capabilities exist; by completion of training courses in supervision accompanied by application of supervisory skills in work assignments; or by favorable appraisals by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential.
General Certification:
Current certification issued by the American Heart Association for Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Workers.
Selective Certification:
Six (6) months of professional nursing experience must have been in Urgent Care or Emergency Services, or similar clinical setting, where the employee independently demonstrated critical thinking skills and the knowledge that is age specific.
Intravenous (IV) and phlebotomy skills preferred.
Experienced with triage, assisting with minor procedures, CLIA waived testing, and scheduling diagnostic exams.

plan and schedule the work of others and utilize the principles and practices of supervision; apply nursing theory and practice in planning and giving nursing care; recognize, interpret and evaluate symptoms of patient's condition; and take appropriate action; initiate and maintain working relationships with members of the medical staff, administration, nursing and other departments and agencies affiliated with the hospital.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
